She reads with emotions, most of the time, and her men sound like men. As to the narration: Tanya Eby is one of my favorite narrators. And there was a little swearing and the F-bomb was used 2 times. There could have been less sex and more storyline. Just because you put 2 or 3 or 4 sex scenes in a book doesn't make it "hot and steamy." It's the build up that makes it that way. There were several sex scenes but nothing that led up to them, no desire, no want, no feelings, nothing. I was surprised at who was trying to kill Ric but I feel like there were a few unanswered questions overall.

Not much thought given to names in this book. The bad guy who tried to kidnap her was Robbie, the sheriff of Pride was Robert AND Roberta’s father was Robert Stanton. This was a decent story but, really? Her name was Roberta but she was called Rob.
